Comment Threads for John Sheehan

There's actually a lot of things you can do inside OnActionExecuting that are very useful. I have a blog post coming up soon on one such thing.
I haven't tried yet but I was going to play with it this weekend.

There always is with the major releases of jQuery. John Resig says why here http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1076873 With confirmation that this is the VS2010 ship version you should be pretty confident using it.
Wow, that's kind of a ridiculous requirement. What good is it to have a bunch of blogs out there with a single post about DNN?
Sorry, I've gotta kill this. You can submit stuff about commercial products, but not just their web pages.
According to John Resig, this is the version that will ship with VS2010 http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1076872
Are there any recent blog posts or articles about this?
Normally I wouldn't post a link like this to a site like this, but this article was actually really good.
No URL shorteners please! (The system is actually supposed to reverse them automatically. Not sure why it isn't.)
That's a liberal use of the word 'brief'.
All relative, I guess. Long for a blog post, but... it's a summary of 5-1/2 years of work.
I don't post this as an endorsement, but I thought it was an interesting perspective worth discussing.

I wonder if you could use this selector technique to improve upon my Webforms selector hack - http://john-sheehan.com/blog/updated-webforms-custom-selector-for-jquery-13/
The WPF to AIR comparison is invalid. AIR is like Core CLR and WPF is like Flash/Flex (UI framework). I think Stewart has it right on. There's some functional overlap, but they're not direct competitors yet.

Thanks Kevin! Tell all your friends ;)
Hey bitglory, welcome to the site. Just an FYI, the comments are threaded so hit 'reply' below a comment to reply to it.
Looks like the standalone version is just for IE 6/7/8. The keynote made it seem like it was all browsers like Expression Web. Still cool though.
The link currently isn't working when linked directly, but go to http://asp.net/mvc and click download and you'll get the download page.
